| Cambridge Learning Center Opens Registration for Fall 2010 HSPT/ISEE Preparation Classes Posted: 15 Jun 2010 11:21 AM PDT LOS ANGELES, June 15, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cambridge Learning Center, Los Angeles' premier tutoring service on the Westside, has announced that registration is now open for the Fall 2010 HSPT/ISEE preparation classes. The first session will begin on Friday, September 24th with a separate Sunday class starting September 26th. Each class will consist of 13 two-hour sessions and will also provide students with one diagnostic test and two practice exams. Cambridge Learning Center statistics have shown that success in these exams has been a reliable indicator of students gaining admission into the college or university of his/her choice. "Unlike other programs in the Los Angeles area, we limit our class size to six students," notes Bowden Russell, president and owner of Cambridge Learning Center. "We had great success last year," he continued, noting "every member of last year's class got into the first school of their choice." Cambridge Learning Center has been providing the HSPT/ISEE preparation classes to the Westside students since 1995. "Definitely, the student who takes our course has an advantage over the student who doesn't take a preparation course for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) or the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE)," continued Russell. "We update our HSPT/ISEE program each year. While our program is extensive, occasionally the makers of the test throw in some unexpected problems which we add to our curriculum each fall." If students register before September 1st, 2010, added Russell, they will be eligible to take the HSPT/ISEE course at last year's rate. About Cambridge Learning Center Bowden Russell and his wife Brigette started Cambridge Learning Center in 1992. Mr. Russell has a degree in Optical Physics from San Diego State University and has taught at both high school and middle school. Since 1992, he has tutored over 2,000 students both privately and in small groups. "We are also the leading tutor institution for Los Angeles students who are taking all levels of math up to and including AP Calculus, Statistics, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics. These are very challenging courses, and it helps to have someone by your side who has been working with this material for over 20 years," Mr. Russell said. "If you're not taking AP Calculus or AP Chemistry/Physics, you're nearly uncompetitive for admissions into the University of California system," he opined.
